Avalon Airport is located 40 minutes by Car from Melbourne or 55km to the west. Avalon is located 15 minutes by Car from Geelong.

- By Bus

Shuttle Buses operate to the Airport from Melbourne and Geelong.
From Melbourne, Sita Coaches operates a service from Southern Cross Station (formally Spencer Street station) meeting all Jetstar Flights.
From Geelong, Torquay and the Great Ocean Road, Avalon Airport Shuttle operates services to and from Avalon. Prices begin at $12 one way or $23 return.

- By Car

Avalon is an easy airport to get to, located directly off the Princess Freeway. Allow at least 1 hour from Melbourne as traffic can sometimes be heavy on the West Gate Freeway.
Directions:
From Melbourne, take the Princes Freeway towards Geelong and turn left at the Avalon Turn-off (Beach Road). Follow signs from the turn off towards Avalon Airport.
If you are travelling from Geelong, take the Princess Freeway towards Melbourne city, and turn left at the Avalon exit. Go over the overpass and follow the road signs towards the Airport.

- By Train

The closest train station to Avalon is "Lara", located only a few kilometres from the airport. To save money on transfer costs, you could always catch a train to Lara and organise a connecting taxi to pick you up.

Airport Parking

A large car park is available at the airport and holds approximately 1500 cars. The car park is located directly opposite the arrival and departure lounge. Around Avalon

The city of Melbourne is a short 40 minutes drive from the Airport and is a great alternative to using the busy Tullamarine Airport.
Avalon is only a short distance from Melbourne's second largest city Geelong (Home of the Geelong Cats AFL team!).
It is also a short distance to Victoria's famous Great Ocean Road (30 minutes) featuring Victorian coastal towns like Torquay, Lorne, Anglesea and Apollo Bay.
